| Why wont my SDR33/31 communicate with my Nikon DTM series total station? |

| The problem may be due to the fact that the communication settings on both the SDR and the Nikon are not set correctly. To set up your SDR, go to the Communications screen, select COM and make sure that the baud rate is set to 1200 (press the OK key to accept the setting).
Clear out to the main function screen and select the instrument set up option and select SET as the model. On the Nikon, press the #5 to access the FNC menu screen, select option #6 (others). Press ENT twice to go into the baud rate screen, make sure that it is set to 1200. Press ENT and the next screen will display the type of data recorder used. Select #2 SET and then the ENT key.
NOTE: Make sure that the two devices are connected when the changes are made and that you have the Sokkia to Nikon cable #5306-66. |
