| What range can I expect to get with a radio modem when using RTK? |

| This depends on many factors - predominantly the output power of your transmitting radio. Some countries only allow 0.5W of output power, some 2W and some 35W. Regardless of the power of the radio, the range can always be maximised by mounting the antenna as high as possible - ensure to set the reference radio antenna on a second tripod at the reference station and use the extendable pole. Also try to work with as few obstructions between the reference and the rover as possible. Typically, a 0.5W radio can give up to 8km of transmission in favourable conditions.
