What does the L1= and the L2= icon mean along the top of the display on the TR500 terminal? And why are the numbers sometimes different to the number of satellites actually being tracked?

The number of satellites that are actually being tracked can be seen at any time in the STATUS\ Satellite panel. However, the figures that are shown at the top of the TR500 display show the number of L1 and L2 signals from satellites that are currently being used to compute the position solution at that time. So it could be that the system is actually tracking 8 satellites (as shown in the STATUS\ Satellite panel), but the icon display along the top of the display shows L1=6 and L2=6. This means that the signal from 2 satellites is considered to be too noisy to be used in the computation of the position solution.
