What is the difference between GSI-8 and GSI-16 format?

The GSI8 and GSI16 coding use the same specific codes for the variables eg. 11= Point number, 21 = Hz angle, 22 = V angle

The GSI16 format differentiates to GSI8 format in the following manner::

- the measurement block always starts with *

- the variable is 16 digits long (GSI8 = 8 digits)

- supports up to 12 variables in the measurement block (GSI8 supports a max. of 8)

The data formats are described in detail in the system manuals.
